This Cookie Policy explains how dojofood, Inc. uses cookies and similar technologies on our website.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser's localStorage, serve the same purpose: they let a site remember your actions and preferences, and help us understand how the site is used.

The storage we use

Strictly necessary (no consent needed). First-party entries in your browser's storage that make the site work and remember your preferences. These cannot be switched off:

  • dojofood:lang — your language choice
  • dojofood:market and dojofood:market-dismissed — your country selection and whether you dismissed the location prompt
  • dojofood:currency and dojofood:currency-explicit — your display-currency choice
  • dojofood:consent — your cookie-consent choice itself
  • dojofood:hw-quote — the devices and quantities in your hardware quote basket
  • dojofood:chat — your live chat conversation, so it survives a page change
  • A session-only entry for the phone country-code memory; removed when you close the browser tab

Strictly necessary cookies (no consent needed). Unlike the entries above, these are real cookies, because the server has to read them before it builds the page. They carry no identifier and are never used to track you:

  • dj_market — the country edition you chose. 1 year
  • dj_lang — the language you chose. 1 year
  • dj_geo — the country your connection appears to come from, so the choice is not recomputed on every page. 30 minutes
  • dj_geo_routed — a one-time marker that we moved you to a country edition, so the notice bar can say so once. 2 minutes

Analytics (only with your consent). If you choose "Accept all" in the cookie banner, we load Google Analytics 4, which sets the _ga and _ga_* cookies to help us understand how the site is used. We configure it with Google Consent Mode (all storage denied by default), IP anonymization, and no advertising features: ad storage stays off even after you accept. If you choose "Reject non-essential", Google Analytics is never loaded and no request is made to Google.

We do not use cookies to sell your data.

Managing your choice

Your choice is stored under dojofood:consent. You can change it at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the site footer. If you withdraw consent after accepting, analytics storage stops immediately and Google Analytics does not load on later visits. You can also control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some storage may affect how the site works.

Changes

We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes. The current version, with its effective date, will always be posted here.
